International Knowledge Summit @ AIM

Event Description

In connection with the Albertian International Educational Expo 2018, St. Albert’s College organised International knowledge Summit from 08th to 17th of January 2018 to enrich the faculty members and the students on the contemporary developments in their respective area of knowledge. The Albertian Institute of Management organised an International seminar on ‘International Trade and Investment” on 16th of January 2018. The resource persons for the seminar were Dr. Syed Ibrahim, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kerala and Mr. Amol Titus, CEO, IndonesiaWISE, Jakarta, Indonesia and President – India-Indonesia Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Syed Ibrahim, in his keynote address on the topic “Creating excellence through global outlook” stressed on the hard work the students have to put in to achieve excellence and on the need for quality to create excellence. He also suggested that the students should have a global outlook on their perspectives and the world offers lots of opportunities which needs to captured by the students. He then said that the entrepreneurs today faced a number of challenges and patience & endurance are required while getting into business relationships. Mr. Amol Titus, in his key note address on the topic “ASEAN India Trade – Opportunities, Progress and Challenges”, spoke about the ASEAN region and about the progress made by each country in ASEAN region. He also briefed about the various opportunities India has in the ASEAN region and challenges Indians face today in trade. He also suggested measures to overcome these challenges and what can done to capture the market potential. In the afternoon technical session, 20 students of AIM participated in the paper presentation competition and presented their research work on various topics ranging from Social Media recruiting and Techniques to FRDI to Artificial Intelligence etc. Fr. Joseph Antony, Ms. Lisha Joseph, Ms. Suhana S. S. and Ms. Rose Cindrella Padua of Semester IV MBA topped the competition and the second place was won by Ms. Meenu A. S., Ms. Naithika Rajeev, Ms. Joshna K. B. and Ms. K. V. Namitha of Semester II MBA.
